FAQ

Q:Do you use any preservatives?

A: No, we don’t. We have a zero preservative policy! This also means that it is important for us to get our products to you faster so you can enjoy it fresh.

Q:Which milk is used for producing paneer?

A: Cow milk with high fat content. We believe in sustainable products. We procure high quality milk from our local Swiss farmer nearby. We, so to say, know our suppliers (cows) by names 🙂

Q: Sometimes the surface of a cheese block looks uneven. Why is it so?

A: The piece of paneer you have received is unique in itself, you will never find its twin. Our production is artisan and, therefore, every single piece differs from another in shape, size and weight. We are not beauty doctors and not striving to correct nature. Enjoy the taste!

Q: Hello Yogi Paneer, I noticed a beautiful ‘yellow’ complexion on a piece of paneer I received? What is it?

A:This yellow complexion shows that our product is made from the freshest and fattest cow milk. We do not remove or take any fat out from the milk before producing Yogi Paneer. This natural fat will nicely melt and provide you with great taste. We care about your budget 🙂 Now you can save on oil and butter when you put Yogi Paneer in your dishes. Enjoy the goodness!

Q: Can Yogi Paneer be frozen?

A: Yes. It can be frozen. We suggest that you place it into the fridge compartment overnight before using it again. But, of course, we recommend that you enjoy it while it is still fresh and freeze it only if you absolutely must.

Q: What’s ‘best before’ for paneer?

A:You will find the recommended ‘best before’ date on the packaging. At Yogi Paneer we have a “Zero preservatives” policy. Typically from production date and vacuum packing our product is fresh to enjoy for 10 days. Please store it in a refrigerated temperature between 4-6C. If you need to, you may freeze.

Q: Where can paneer be used?

A: Ask your kids! You will be surprised. The younger ones will give you plenty of crazy ideas. Make sure you have enough paneer in stock! You may enjoy it ‘raw’, i.e. fresh on your sandwich or with pesto or with jam etc. We often use it as a grilled, fried or cooked version. There are plenty of different Indian and ethnic cuisines and curries where Yogi Paneer is an excellent ingredient. We also have some ideas on our recipes page

Q:Is Yogi Paneer really better than the one available in supermarkets?

A:Which paneer is better, it is for you to decide. Different people like different flavours. We try our best to produce a quality premium product using the freshest milk and try to get it on your table as fresh as possible.
